In order to conserve your pieces as new, do not wear it while you're handling chemical substances such as bleach, detergent, soap, or shampoo, do not wear it while you're at the pool or taking a shower, never spray perfume directly as it may lose it's original look or get stained.

 

My silver work it's always finished matte or oxidized. Never clean oxidized pieces since they will lose their original look. On matte pieces, in order to avoid tarnish, keep your pieces out from the air, in a hermetical box, in its original wrap, or cellophane closed bag. If your piece it's completely silver-white (and it's not blued, mixed, or tight to other materials) and you need to clean it from oxide, you might put on water in an aluminum pot in slow heath adding a small spoon of baking soda till boiling. Let it boil for about 3 minutes. If rust does not yield at all, you can make a paste with baking soda and a few lime drops, rub softly with it your pieces, once the rust is removed, remove remnants of paste with a soft cloth.

 

To recover matte-finished rub softly and carefully with a new kitchen scrubbing fiber (never used), green scotch is the best, you should reserve scrubbing fiber for your jewelry cleaning purposes and never use it for kitchen cleaning. Always pay attention to any object on the stove, lack of water can cause total damage to the piece and an accident in your home. You may use the kitchen scrubbing fiber with no water at all -gently rubbing to avoid hard scratches- directly on white silver pieces that are mixed with some other materials. All my metal jewelry is brushed matte-finished, light scratches are expected to be there. Be careful, since scrubbing fiber might scratch permanently nonmetal materials, so, cover it with a safe tape before you clean metal and do it softly.

 

If your piece has black patina please consider it is a treatment that will be lost with time, if you treat your piece correctly and do not clean it or stain with toxic liquids it should last for a few years, but one day will need to be blacked again, when this happens I could do the treatment for you, but maintenance and shipping costs will apply. I do not recommend you to use commercial silver cleaning liquids for your jewelry as it might cause you redness, skin sensitivity, or even contact allergy. Pieces including other materials such as textiles, silver, ceramics, wood, resin, stone, or even a blacked finish may be permanently damaged. Silver nature is soft and brittle, that is the reason why it is alloyed with other materials that give it greater flexibility and toughness, at the passage of time may require maintenance or small repairs still light normal use.

My work is finished brushed silver, blacked, or rusty. Never clean rusted or blacked jewelry, keep your pieces dry, avoid using chemical fibers (including soaps, shampoos, and detergents) while you use it as they could lose their original appearance. if your piece has a black patina, consider it is a treatment that will be lost with time, if you treat your piece correctly without cleaning or stain it with toxic liquids it should last for a few years, but one day it will need to be blacked again. Patina's duration will depend on the intensity of use, care, and even user PH. Do not keep your blacked jewelry within a metal container or mixed with other metals, they can permanently stained. Prevent contact of your pieces with aluminum and ferrous metals, particularly galvanized metal. Do not include chalk to save, blacked silver stain with it. To recover some lost luster brushing and keep the black tone, use a dry cloth, and gently rub the piece with her.

The difference between gold vermeil and gold-plated is the thickness of the gold, in vermeil the gold used is at least 10k gold, unlike gold-plated which contains less than 10k gold. The karat is a measure of how much gold is in an alloy, or gold-blend. A measure of 1 Karat is where there is 1 part of pure gold and 23 parts of metal alloy - or 4% gold. So 24K is 100% pure gold. 9K is 37%, 14K is 58%, 18K is 75%

Even if the resin is a durable material it is not unbreakable, avoid strikes as your jewelry may break or damage, do not wear it while you're handling chemical substances such as bleach, detergent, soap, or shampoo, never spray perfume directly as it might lose it's original look or get stained.

 

Do not live it exposed to direct sunlight, as it might be permanently damaged.

To clean just use a clean soft cloth, flannel, or old cotton cloth is great. On matte pieces, you may clean it from time to time with a few drops of baby oil and flannel, which will make them much prettier and would not alter the matte finish. Be careful after doing this process as it may be greasy and stain your clothes.

 

Finally, try to keep it separately in order to avoid scratches.
